Classic Yardley Borough Home Gets New
Bluestone Walkway, Steps and Indigenous Plantings,
Conforming to Local Historical Regulations for a
Delaware River Town Founded in 1682

One of Bucks County, Pennsylvania's best-known communities, Yardley, is a borough on the Delaware River that includes the Delaware Canal and towpath. Founded in 1682, with a population today of approximately 2,500, Yardley maintains strong historical control on the design and construction of new structures the remodeling of existing ones.

This owner of this classic circa 1900 home retained WDB Landscaping to add new steps featuring hand-cut stone facing that conformed to the historic district's requirements, along with large slabs of natural Pennsylvania Bluestone walkway. Then, to top off the small project, plantings were made on beds in front and to the side of the home.

This attractive in-city project is a great example of how skilled landscapers at WDB tackle a smaller job that makes a residence, or business property shine. WDB professionals make sure all their projects conform to historical, groundwater and other regulations with every job they design and then complete.
